Blogging sure isn’t easy!
And, anyone who says so is clearly lying.
I’ve even lost all my freelance clients within 10 days and still kept grinding to make online business work.
After all, the people who don’t give up are the ones that succeed.
The ONLY way I can keep pushing is by listening to music and I’ve compiled a list of the best blogging songs that are perfect for when you feel like you’re about to stop blogging forever.Β
I hope you enjoy these songs as much as I do and they motivate you to succeed!
9 of the Best Blogging Songs to Listen to When You Need Motivation
I’ve never been much of a person to curate music into a playlist for others to listen to.
I typically listen to the same two Pandora channels because that’s my system.
So, cut me some slack if the songs aren’t in the order they should be for maximum effect. As long as they DON’T encourage you to quit blogging, I’ve met my goal π
Here are my favorite blogging songs:
- I Will Survive
- This is Me
- Read All About It
- The Impossible Dream
- Rise
- Skyscraper
- Stronger
- Rise Like A Phoenix
- Titanium
Feel free to listen to them below!
1. I Will Survive
This classic by Gloria Gaynor always makes me feel better!
We all know mindset is important to success and I’m reminded of that when she sings.
The song was even nominated for a Grammy, so you know it’s good π

2. This is Me
Go ahead…
Raise your hand if you’re OBSESSED with The Greatest Showman like I am.
When I first heard this song in the theatres, it brought me to tears. I identified with it to the core.
It reminds me to not give up because I need to own who I am despite any criticism.

3. Read All About It
I think the first time I heard this song by Emeli SandΓ© was in the U.K. version of The X-Factor.
In that short audition, I realized what a beautiful song it is.
It conveys this inner struggle and how we lack confidence to be our true selves. But, also, how we can’t be afraid to own what we want.Β

4. The Impossible Dream
This song will always remain one of my favorite songs of all-time.
It’s that good.
The classic song from Man of La Mancha depicts the story of someone that is chasing his/her dreams, no matter how impossible they are.Β
There are SO many great versions of this song that I love, but I really like this version by Gerphil Flores on Asia’s Got Talent because she captures the purity of the dream in her voice.
And, those high notes at the end π

5. Rise
This song is originally by Katy Perry and I think it’s one of her better songs.
I find that pop songs too often don’t have much meaning, but this one really resonated with me.
It tells you to rise up beyond all the struggles and to come out on top.Β
I’m always gobsmacked by the Superfruit (Scott Hoying and Mitch Grassi) version featuring Brian Justin Crum, Mary Lambert, and Mario Jose.
It’s perfection in precisely 3:15 and you won’t regret listening to it.

6. Skyscraper
I only recently discovered this song through YouTube suggestions (I was clearly under a rock when it was released).
I first heard it from Sam Bailey on The U.K. X-Factor, but I fell in love with it after watching Brian Justin Crum’s version. To be honest, I find Demi Lovato’s original to be heavy on the dramatics and light on the passion and meaning.
This song talks about an unflappable confidence that we all need to have so we can push back against whatever comes our way.
It tells you to stay strong, no matter what.
You’ll also recognize Brian from the last video β his voice is so magical and powerful it deserves two spots on this list π

7. Stronger
If you want an upbeat song to work to, this one is definitely it!
Certainly one of the earlier works of American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson.
The line of “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” is such a bold and powerful statement. It definitely resonates with me.
It’s also got some motifs of self-empowerment π

8. Rise Like a Phoenix
If you’ve never heard of Eurovision before, it’s like America’s Got Talent, but on steroids for all of Europe.
Conchita Wurst solidified herself as an artist with her performance of this song, which was written specifically for the competition β she unsurprisingly won and you’ll hear why after listening.
This song basically tells the world to watch out because a comeback is going to happen.Β It’s about triumph, despite setbacks.
And, it’s fabulously sung live by a drag queen π

9. Titanium
I honestly can’t believe this song came out in 2011 β I was entering high school then!
This song arranged by David Guetta really helped solidify Sia as a worldwide recording artist.
I love this song because it talks about being bulletproof and being able to stand up to anything. Being knocked down and getting back up is SO important.
